Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and any work you hire Oxford Concrete Company to do. By using the site, asking for an estimate or booking a job with us, you agree to them.
If your signed estimate or contract says something different from this page, the signed document wins for that job. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site or book work with us.
What we do
Oxford Concrete Company is a concrete contractor in Oxford, MS. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, pool decks, slabs, footings, foundations and retaining walls, and we do decorative and stamped concrete, foundation raising and concrete cutting. You can see the full list on our home page and read about our crew on our About page.
The information on this site is general. It describes how this kind of work usually goes, and it isn't a quote, a promise about your property or professional engineering advice.
Estimates and pricing
We give free on-site estimates, with no pressure to book. Your estimate is based on what we can see and measure at your house on that visit, and it holds for the period written on it.
Some things only show up once the old concrete is out and the ground is open, such as soft or wet subgrade, which is the soil the slab sits on, buried debris, roots or old footings. If we find something like that and it changes the work or the price, we stop, show you, and get your written okay before we do the extra work.
Changes you ask for after the estimate, like a bigger slab, a different finish or added steel, are priced in writing before we start them.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We give you a start date when you book, but concrete depends on the weather. We won't pour in rain or in conditions that would leave you with a weak slab, so we may move a date, and we'll tell you as soon as we know.
If you need to cancel or move your job, let us know as early as you can. Once we've ordered materials, scheduled a concrete truck or started work, you may owe the costs your contract describes for that point in the job.
Fresh concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens and gains strength. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk on and drive on, and damage from using it sooner is not covered.
Your part of the job
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to tell us about anything underground that the public utility locate won't mark, like sprinkler lines, private gas or electric lines, septic parts or pet fences. We aren't responsible for damage to private lines we weren't told about.
Unless your contract says we'll handle it, you're responsible for checking whether your project needs a permit or approval from your city, county or homeowners association, and for getting it.
Payment terms
Your estimate or contract sets out the payment schedule for your job, including any deposit and when the balance is due. The payment methods we accept are listed on your estimate or invoice.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's made, and we may use the remedies Mississippi law allows to collect what's owed for work we've done.
What we stand behind, and what we don't
We're licensed and fully insured, and our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. Any written warranty for your job is described in your contract, and that document sets its terms and length.
Concrete can crack, and no contractor can promise it won't. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack where it won't show as much, but small hairline cracks, slight color differences and minor surface variation are normal and aren't defects.
Our warranty doesn't cover damage from vehicles or equipment heavier than the slab was built for, deicing salts, tree roots, ground movement or drainage changes after we leave, soil we didn't prepare, or work done by someone else.
Apart from what's written in your contract, and to the extent the law allows, we make no other warranties, express or implied.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of your driveway, rental costs or lost income.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that Mississippi law doesn't allow a business to limit.

You may use this site to learn about our services and contact us. Please don't copy its content for commercial use or try to interfere with how it works.

If we disagree
If you're unhappy with any part of the work, call us first at (662) 550-8149 so we can come look at it with you. Most problems get settled that way.
If we can't settle it between us, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court. If mediation doesn't resolve it, the dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts serving Oxford, Mississippi.
Governing law
These terms, and any work Oxford Concrete Company does for you, are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the current one. A change won't alter a contract you've already signed unless we both agree to it in writing.
