About our Oxford concrete contractor company

Who we are, why I started this business, and how a job with us goes from your first call to the finished slab.

Why I started a concrete company in Oxford

Before I started Oxford Concrete Company, I spent years doing upkeep for a property management company. I patched walks, steps, drives and slabs across a lot of rentals, and I saw the same failures over and over. That's where I learned what makes concrete crack and sink, and what makes it last.

Most of those cracked and sunken slabs didn't fail because of the concrete on top. They failed because of the ground they sat on, what we call the subgrade, or because nobody checked where the water went. In 2023 I started this concrete business in Oxford to build the work right the first time instead of patching it later.

Today we're best known for driveways, walks, steps and patios that drain and stay flat. Homeowners call us, and so do landlords and property managers who want one person to handle the job and give a straight answer. You'll find everything we build on the Oxford Concrete Company home page.

What you get when we pour your concrete

Here's what working with us looks like in practice, and why each piece matters for how your driveway, patio or steps hold up years from now.

We start with the ground

The base is the part you can't see on pour day, so it's the first thing people want to cut when the budget's tight. I'd rather trim the finish than the base. We dig out soft dirt, pack the base and check where water runs, so the slab sheds water away from your house and sits on firm ground.

I quote it and run it

I come out for the estimate and I'm on site with our crew during the work, so the person who quoted your job is the one making the calls on pour day. You'll get a straight answer fast, even when that answer is that new concrete isn't the right fix.

Quotes you can compare

Our written quotes spell out what's included, like haul off, sealer and drainage, so you can line ours up against anyone else's. Years of upkeep at rentals taught me to work around people who live there, so we keep the site tidy and keep your way in and out open where we can.

How a job with us goes, step by step

Here's how a job runs with us, from your first call to the day you can park on the new driveway or set chairs out on the new patio.

  1. 1

    Call or send the form

Call (662) 550-8149 or fill out our contact form with a few words about the job. We reply within one business day, and most times I'm the one who calls you back.

  2. 2

Get a written estimate on site

I come out myself, measure, and look over the ground, the drainage and how we'll get in. The free estimate puts in writing what the price covers and what it doesn't, with no pressure to book.

  3. 3

We prep the ground and pour

Before work starts we check with the permit office that covers your address, and when a permit's needed we handle the paperwork and line up inspections. Then we dig out, pack the base, set the forms and pour, with me on site.

  4. 4

Let it cure, then use it

Fresh concrete has to cure, hardening slowly before it can carry weight, so we'll tell you when you can walk on it and when you can park on it. We clean up before we leave, and the work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee.
